DIY | Spinach smoothies & broccoli pizza dough!

If you didn't know already, I love food. People find it quite odd, but a day of cooking or baking for me is the epitome of relaxation (minus the messy aftermath.)

Whenever I get the chance to have a lazy day, I love to experiment with healthy alternatives to classic snacks and recipes. Here are 3 of my regular and new foodie faves!

Honey Greek Yogurt
Handful of blueberries
1/2 or 1 banana

On a day off it's easy to pig out on everything and anything, but I find that starting my morning with something healthy can be the difference between crashing and having the energy to go on. Lovers of the full English breakfast will probably disown me for admitting this, but this is possibly my favourite breakfast of all time. It's super yummy, healthy, and keeps you full enough till lunch (which is a very big thing for me). If you get bored of the cereal, toast, tea routine like I do, try it out!

1 banana
Handful of spinach
handful of strawberries
A few red grapes

Green/spinach smoothies sound completely gross. But I promise, they are one of the most wonderful things - depending on what you fill them with! I first saw these guys explode on Pinterest and the popular pages on good ol' Instagram about a year ago. I started experimenting with different flavours soon after, and found this to be my favourite so far. If you hate vegetables or fruit, or just find it a pain to eat them everyday, this is the perfect way to sneak them into your diet. Plus, the spinach is practically tasteless!
Broccoli & Cauliflower Pizza Dough

I thought I'd do a little research on alternatives to the basic pizza dough, and stumbled across this beauty. I made this dough from just broccoli, cauliflower, parmesan and herbs. I was convinced it would fall apart in the oven, but they created the perfect base for more yummy ingredients to be piled on top! After some reading, I mixed and matched a couple of recipes I found online to find to make something that suited my taste buds (links below!)
