PINTEREST WORTHY SMOOTHIE BOWLS | EXPECTATIONS VS. REALITY

I'm sure you've seen photos of these perfectly crafted breakfasts floating around Pinterest & Instagram over the past year. Smoothie bowls aren't only a great way of kicking off your day in a healthy way, but they also look pretty impressive sitting on your coffee table.

So two days ago me and Eliot thought it would be a good idea to make our own...with a bit of a twist.
If you're anything like me, getting fresh groceries delivered to your door in the morning makes the process of making breakfast even more exciting. That morning I ordered a bunch of fruit and veg from Tesco via their Delivery Saver service - perfect for getting your weekly shop at the best price!
Instead of knowing what we were going to put in our own smoothie bowls, we decided to pick a random ingredient each and turn it into a mini challenge. You can check out the video here (if you dare):

Yes, embarrassing I know. All I will say is that the perfect smoothie bowl requires CAREFUL construction. Don't chuck in any old healthy ingredient because that won't guarantee a good taste. (Red cabbage and celery specifically are a no go. Like... really, please don't do it.)
 However, get the combination right and your breakfast can turn into something very magical.
