We all know a trip to the spa can be rather pricey, so why not recreate the whole experience at home? Having a homemade spa night is one of my favourite ways to relax, and it's also a perfect date night idea! With Valentine's day just around the corner, I thought I'd share my go-to set up, for the ultimate his and hers spa night in. *And breeeathe*

Lighting | The Perfect Candles

When it comes to recreating the ultimate spa experience, turning down the lights and lighting good candles is a game changer. Two of my favourite candles at the moment are by Dorma - one is Almond Blossom & Pink Pepper scented, and the other Lavender & Chamomile. As you may have guessed, they both smell devine, and are perfect for creating a cosy atmosphere.

Relax | Massage Oil

Who doesn't love a good massage? Giving each other a back and shoulder massage is a great way to relieve tension and unwind during a spa date. One of my favourite massage oils is by Spa Sanctuary Covent Garden. Their body oil has hints of sweet almond, cranberry and rosehip - as you can imagine, it smells far too wonderful. I love the fact that the oil gently warms as you use it, so you can literally feel the tension melt away over the course of the evening. Bliss!

Treatments | Facial

Let's be honest, a spa day wouldn't be complete without a facial, would it? I recently got my hands on Panasonic's 3-in-1 Micro Current Facial Enhancer, and it's been amazing for making a regular spa date night even more special. The metal plate uses varying temperatures to make your moisturising and cleansing routine even more effective. The heating element opens up your pores whilst cleansing, and also allows your moisturiser to be absorbed more effectively. This is followed by a cooling setting that tightens the pores. Me and my husband love to use this whenever we feel like we really want to treat our skin. It always leaves us visibly glowing - it's a dream!

Atmosphere | Mood Music + Movies

Whether you want to curl up and pamper yourself in front of a movie, or listen to some mood music - atmosphere is everything. Here are some perfect movie and music picks to help set the mood.

About Time - starring Rachel Mcadams & Domhnall Gleeson
Hitch - starring Will Smith & Eva Mendes
The Proposal - starring Sandra Bullock & Ryan Reynolds
You've Got Mail - starring Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan

Moving On & Getting Over - John Mayer
The Way You Look Tonight - Frank Sinatra
Send It On - D'Angelo
Nothing Even Matters - Ms Lauryn Hill & D'Angelo

Do you have any plans for Valentine's day?
